Community Guidelines

StudyMate is a positive, safe, and academically honest environment. To keep it that way, we have clear rules. Please read them carefully.

Academic Honesty

Use AI to learn, not to cheat.

Respect Others

Zero tolerance for harassment or bullying.

Stay Safe

Protect your personal information.

Academic Integrity

StudyMate is designed to augment your learning, not replace your own thinking. Using our tools to cheat undermines your education and violates our core principles.

1

Do not use Spark to generate complete essays, assignments, or code that you intend to submit as your own original work.

2

Do not use StudyMate during closed-book exams or tests unless explicitly permitted by your instructor.

3

Use AI-generated explanations as a study guide and verify facts against your primary course materials.

Respectful User Conduct

Whether practicing alone or studying in a group session, we expect all users to treat each other and the platform with respect.

1

Hate speech, discrimination, and bullying of any kind are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension.

2

Do not spam study sessions with irrelevant links, promotional material, or repetitive messages.

3

Respect the privacy of others. Do not share screenshots of private group sessions without consent.

4

Do not attempt to bypass our moderation filters or trick the AI into generating harmful or inappropriate content.

Strictly Prohibited Content

Our platform uses automated and manual moderation to detect and remove content that violates these guidelines.

1

Sexually explicit content, violence, and self-harm materials are banned.

2

Sharing illegal content, pirated materials, or methods to commit illegal acts is strictly forbidden.

3

Do not upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious scripts.

4

Do not impersonate other students, teachers, or StudyMate staff.

Enforcement & Actions

We take our guidelines seriously to protect the StudyMate community. Violations will result in the following actions.

1

First offenses typically result in a warning or a temporary restriction from creating group sessions.

2

Severe or repeated violations will lead to permanent account deletion and a ban from the platform.

3

If you believe your account was moderated by mistake, you can contact our support team to request a manual review.
